The EFInA board of directors was appointed in mid 2007 and the first CEO in January 2008.

Adedotun Sulaiman - Director
Chairman Cornerstone Insurance Plc; Non-Executive Chairman, Accenture Nigeria
Adedotun Sulaiman is a renowned management consultant and expert in organizational development, enterprise transformation and business process reengineering. He obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos and is also qualified a Chartered accountant. Adedotun chairs the board of several companies, traversing several sectors of the economy with a major emphasis on the emerging electronic payments industry and companies in the entrepreneurial stage. He was the Country Managing Director of Accenture and he is currently the Non-Executive Chairman



Edna Ishaya – Director
Executive Chairman, AdanaMamaki, Nigeria Limited
Mrs Edna Ishaya has extensive knowledge of microfinance practice and regulation garnered from ten years hands on practice and experience. She has worked in various capacities as Program Officer in Development Exchange Center (a non-governmental microfinance institution) in Bauchi, Nigeria. She was also Managing Director of Ishaya Consultancy Services, Gombe and offered consultancy services to institutions like UNIFEM, UNICEF, DFID, UNDP, British Council and CBDD. She is a trained board trainer and has undergone the Wharton Executive Development Program. She is currently involved in the development of microfinance banks in Nigeria, in training and capacity building and in board retreats and development. She holds a BSc and an MSc in Biology both from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria

 

Dr Bola Fajemirokun – Director
Founder/CEO, Development Initiatives Network
Dr. Bola Fajemirokun is a lawyer and the Founder/CEO of Development Initiatives Network, a policy-focused NGO, with programmes and activities on development issues including economic empowerment.  A 1983 graduate of the University of Lagos, she was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1984 and was awarded a Ph.D. degree of the University of London in 1990.

 

Omorinsojo Desalu – Director
CEO, Risk Watch Insurance Brokers
Morin is currently the CEO of Risk Watch Insurance Brokers Limited, a compact Insurance Broking Practice which she started in 1992 and has grown to be recognized as one of the market leaders in the Insurance sub-sector. She is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and has spent 27 years working at Lloyd’s of London and in the Nigerian Insurance markets. Morin serves on many Boards and is a Trustee of Women in Business and Management (WimBiz) - a not for profit organization set up as a catalyst for the elevation of the role of women in Business and Management. Morin has an MBA in General Management from the University of Sheffield and is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School having attended the Chief Executives Program in 1998.

 

Nkemdirim Ogbuaku – Director
CEO, Shared Insights Limited
Nkem Ogbuaku is the CEO of Shared Insights Limited, a Brand Strategy and Marketing Communications company based in Lagos. Previously he was the MD/CEO of Spring Mortgage Limited, where he was responsible for growing the business, developing staff, and driving strategy/execution. Nkem has 18 years banking experience in Nigeria, through working at FSB International Bank, Zenith Bank, and Guardian Express Bank. He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School, Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA, and an honorary senior member of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

 

Gillian Rogers
Private Sector Development Adviser, DFID Nigeria
Gillian Rogers covers the UK Department for International Development's (DFID) work on private sector development covering the financial sector, agriculture and legal and regulatory reform. She took up this post in Abuja in October 2008 having previously worked for DFID covering the Western Balkans. She previously worked with Chevron and a telecommunications company in London.  She holds a MSc in Economics from the School of Oriental and African and a finance degree from the University of Cape Town.

 

Modupe Ladipo
Chief Executive Officer, EFInA
Modupe Ladipo’s work experience has primarily been within Investment Banking in the UK.  She has over 20 years financial services experience covering corporate strategy & development, product & markets development, mergers & acquisitions, retail and institutional brokerage.  She has worked for Tata Consultancy Services, Merrill Lynch, ABN AMRO, the London Stock Exchange Credit Suisse Financial Products and Lehman Brothers.  She holds a MBA from Manchester Business School and a Chemical Engineering degree from University College, London.
